We are delighted to welcome you to the 13 International Conference of Laboratory Animal Scientists' Association (LASA) on 'Preclinical Insights from Animal Studies on Drug Discovery and Translational Research'. The conference is jointly organized by LASA and the GITAM School of Pharmacy, Visakhapatnam and will be held from December th th 19 –20 , 2025, at GITAM (Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam Campus, Andhra Pradesh. GITAM Visakhapatnam campus, nestled between lush green hills and the serene Bay of Bengal, offers a vibrant academic, scientific and cultural environment. Its lively campus life, diverse student community, and scenic beauty make it a hub of learning, innovation, and inspiration.

The conference will serve as a great platform for LASA members, leading researchers, and professionals in preclinical and translational research to share innovative methodologies, explore recent scientific advancements, and discuss critical insights contributing to drug discovery and development.

The event will foster dynamic interactions, knowledge exchange, and collaborative opportunities among academia, industry, research institutions, and regulatory bodies, all united by the goal of advancing high standards in preclinical research and ethical scientific practices.

A pre-conference workshop will be held on December 18, 2025, at the GITAM School of Pharmacy, focusing on specialized topics aimed at enhancing the quality of preclinical research and promoting the ethical and responsible use of animals in scientific studies.
